The Vaudevillian is an Ontario-based husband-and-wife ragtime blues duo who have toured full time for the last 11 years, performing at music festivals throughout Canada, the USA, the UK and Europe.

Jitterbug James and Norah Spades turn washboard, resonator guitar, banjo, harmonica and musical spoons into a rowdy, joyful, memorable show for audiences of all ages. It is roots music with personality, theatricality and a direct connection to the audience.

More than a stage show

Interactive festival workshops

The Vaudevillian can perform on the main stage and host their unique audience-interactive Washboard Workshops and Acadian Musical Spoon Workshops on a secondary stage.

They supply the washboards and Acadian musical spoons. The workshops welcome all ages and abilities, and have taught more than 6000 participants to date.
